While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to sandpaper and hand lathes used to spin the wooden baseball bat. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee is also required to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, or crouch in uncomfortable positions.

This employee will be responsible for sanding wooden baseball bats to the quality specifications laid out by the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sanding wooden baseball bats by hand.
- Implementing quality control methods to meet the high standards set by the company.
- Technique to sand wooden baseball bats by hand.
- Set-up and maintain work areas and maintain equipment in accordance to safety procedures.
- Maintain clean work areas, tool repair, and equipment inventory.
- Inspect sand jobs and materials, adjusting practices to ensure quality work
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Wood working experience is preferred but not required
- Experience using hand lathes is preferred but not required
- Flexibility/adaptability and have good multi-tasking skills
- Applies knowledge and skills to complete task within own area
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting established standards
- Dependable
