Electrical & Instrumentation Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced, motivated ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION PROJECT MANAGER to oversee and execute capital projects for industrial infrastructure, including multi-well production facilities, central gathering stations, oil terminals, and saltwater disposals.

The E&I Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful execution from concept to commissioning. This role requires hands-on leadership in electrical and instrumentation design, procurement, field execution, and client coordination. This position reports to Karla Orth, Vice President of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of electrical and instrumentation projects.
  • Develop project scope, budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Engage with clients to define project requirements and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, and cost overruns.
Technical Oversight & Field Support
  • Provide leadership in electrical and instrumentation system design, including equipment selection, control systems, and power distribution.
  • Review and approve key project deliverables, such as single-line diagrams, instrument datasheets, wiring schematics, and PLC drawings.
  • Support commissioning and start-up activities, including Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
  • Conduct field visits for troubleshooting, vendor inspections, and project execution oversight (approximately 15% travel required).
Client & Team Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Foster collaboration between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project success.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master Electrician license (Louisiana or ability to obtain reciprocity).
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical & instrumentation project management in the oil & gas or industrial construction sectors.
  • Strong background in electrical, instrumentation, and control systems within oilfield infrastructure projects.
  • Experience leading multi-discipline teams and managing subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), API, ISA, and OSHA standards.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation, SCADA systems, and PLC programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Must be legally allowed to operate a motor vehicle and able to pass an in-depth drug screening.
