Along with the VersaCrane line, Deep South owns and operates a variety of other cranes from manufacturers such as Liebherr, Terex-Demag, and Tadano. This gives the personnel at Deep South a wide selection of equipment to design a solution that best fits the client's needs. In addition to rigging and lifting operations, Deep South also operates a full line of specialized transportation equipment allowing Deep South to provide its clients with complete turn-key services.Engineers at Deep South take on a variety of different challenges when planning and executing complex jobs. In this position, the Engineer will also be a part of the project management team and work closely with skilled craft personnel to create solutions for the many different challenges faced in the shops or on a typical project. This requires a "hands-on” person who can face adversity with a can-do attitude and who can think creatively about how to best complete a project. Our engineering/ project management team has the ability to customize rigging, lifting, and transporting solutions to any client's needs. Attention to detail, organization, and communication skills are vital to success in this position.Our corporate office is in Baton Rouge, LA with other offices located in Lake Charles, LA, Dequincy, LA, Beaumont, TX, Houston, TX, and Ashland, KY. This position will be located in Baton Rouge, LA. Interested? APPLY NOW !GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop the technical plan and deliverables for a successful project, start to finish. This may include drawings, plans, procedures, designs, calculations, etc.Ensure technical accuracy from planning through execution while working with many departments and the client for a safe and efficient execution of the projectMaintain clear communication between clients, Deep South management, and the project teamComplete frequent site visits and interactions with field staff during the projectUpon completion of the project, a project review will be conducted with the project teamObtain working knowledge of Deep South heavy lift and specialty rigging equipment in order to be able to provide solutions to customer needsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringExperience preferred, but not required (entry-level applicants welcomed to apply)Fluency in AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office is requiredValid TWIC card requiredKnowledge of ASME, ASTM, AISC codesWritten and verbal communication skillsHighly motivated to learn and work with teams to meet deadlinesDeep South is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
