About this Job
Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Laborer in the Facilities Department. The Laborer performs a variety of manual labor tasks to support the maintenance, repair, and operation of BRCC facilities and grounds. This role ensures a clean, safe, and functional environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This is a full-time position.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Perform general custodial, maintenance, and groundskeeping duties, including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
Assist with moving, assembling, and setting up furniture, equipment, and event materials.
Perform minor repairs to facilities and equipment as directed.
Assist skilled trades personnel with maintenance and repair projects.
Maintain campus grounds by mowing, trimming, watering, planting, and removing debris.
Load, unload, and transport supplies, tools, and equipment.
Follow safety guidelines and report hazards or unsafe conditions promptly.
Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
Support special events by assisting with setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
