We are a family-run business that has been serving famous South Louisiana cuisine since 1975. We are looking for a dynamic bartender who embraces southern hospitality. A team member who has a genuine love and interest in cocktails along with the ingredients that make them special. As a Mike Anderson's team member, you must serve graciously with a kind attitude. Our bartenders core duties include:
Mixing Drinks: Make syrups, infusions, mixes, mixed drinks, and cocktails of all types to fulfill guests orders. Bartenders take orders from guests, build and serve drinks, and collect money for the orders they fill.
Entertain and Educate Guests: Entertain guests while mixing drinks, talking to customers about spirits and offering trivia and history about various alcohols to keep customers engaged and enjoying themselves.
Design New Beverage Items: Responsible for crafting original beverage menu items and designing new, innovative cocktails.
Neat, Clean, and Organized: Must keep yourself and the bar area clean and organized, maintaining all sanitation standards.
Maintain Alcohol Inventory: Responsible for keeping the bar well stocked and fully supplied with alcohol, and for filling out inventory forms in order to replace items as needed.
Follow Alcohol Laws: At all times, must adhere to state laws regarding alcohol consumption by checking guest identification and cutting off guests who have had too much to drink.
Make Drink Suggestions: Suggest cocktails and mixed drinks to customers who are unsure about what they want to order.
Prepare Garnishes: Prepare all drink garnishes and keep the garnish station continuously stocked during their shifts.
Bartenders must have great people skills to keep guests entertained in addition to extensive knowledge of alcohol and cocktails of all types. We look for bartenders who have the following necessary skills to perform all their job functions well:

Mike Anderson's - Gonzales was established in 1985 and we are still growing!
We have progressed tremendously throughout the years, providing great experiences for our team and for our guests.
In 2008, Mike Anderson's Gonzales completely renovated the entire restaurant and oyster bar. We also added a New Orleans style climate-controlled patio complete with a fountain, fireplace, and bar.
In 2012, we updated our kitchen to provide a more efficient layout, which benefits both our team members and our guests.
Mike Anderson's is blessed with a loyal team, with some team members dedicating up to thirty-five years to our restaurant family. The hard work and determination of these Team Members has played a huge role in our continued success.
