Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure.
Manage rack installation, including the setup of components, cabling, powering up, and transitioning servers to provisioning teams.
Handle rack removal processes, ensuring careful disengagement of power and cabling.
Execute hardware break/fix tasks and replace field-replaceable units (FRUs).
Troubleshoot and resolve telco connectivity issues.
Troubleshoot and replace network switch equipment.
Communicate effectively within a ticketing system utilized by various Oracle Cloud service teams.
Document activities and assist in building/modifying standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Perform structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber, copper, and telecom cables.
Independently execute small projects while collaborating with your manager on larger projects.
Qualifications:
Solid understanding of server, storage, and network hardware.
A strong desire to learn new data center concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Experience in quality assurance.
Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as needed.
3+ years of experience in an IT environment.
Experience in inventory management—ordering, receiving, and shipping server parts.
Ability to take on-call shifts and respond to critical events promptly.
Proficiency in raising issues to senior staff and management.
Familiarity with IT hardware concepts (RAID, SAN, SCSI, Linux/Unix, GRUB) is essential.
Knowledge of trunk infrastructure is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant experience.
1+ year of experience in structured cabling (copper/fiber) and familiarity with data center cooling and electrical systems.

This position is subject to salary range and benefits specific to the US, with a hiring range between $27.07 and $54.13 per hour, translating to an annual salary from $56,300 to $112,600.
