Job Title: Casualty & Mass Tort Litigation Associate (Partnership Track)

Location: Baton Rouge, LA (Downtown)


Overview:

A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Casualty & Mass Tort Litigation Associate to join its Baton Rouge office. This is a partnership-track opportunity offering hands-on litigation experience and direct client engagement in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Draft and argue motions
  • Handle written discovery and responses
  • Participate in rapid response investigations and case reporting
  • Prepare cases for trial, including strategy development and execution
  • Communicate directly with clients and provide regular, substantive updates
  • Appear in court and lead litigation efforts as appropriate


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of general litigation experience
  • Strong experience with depositions, motion practice, and discovery
  • Proven ability to independently manage cases from start to finish
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Exceptional research, writing, and advocacy skills
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar
