Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and technically adept business development specialist to expand our rapidly growing indoor drone solutions vertical. This role focuses on unlocking partnerships with warehouses, manufacturing facilities, logistics centers, retail fulfillment hubs, mining operations, agricultural indoor sites, and large commercial buildings requiring autonomous indoor inspections or monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
Business development & sales
- Identify, develop, and manage sales opportunities for indoor drone inspections, monitoring, automation, and DaaS offerings
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, energy, agriculture, security, and facility management
- Conduct on-site assessments and propose tailored indoor drone solutions for customer workflows
- Prepare proposals, pricing models, SOWs, RFP responses, and client presentations
Market expansion
- Research and evaluate emerging opportunities in the indoor drone and industrial automation markets across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region
- Recommend strategic partnerships with industrial integrators, security firms, and robotics technology providers
- Support the rollout of the Drone-as-a-Service model across the region
Technical & product collaboration
- Work closely with the engineering and flight operations teams to understand features and capabilities of our indoor drone platforms
- Translate customer requirements into product feature requests and operational plans
- Participate in indoor demo flights, pilot programs, and customer onboarding
Client success & account management
- Manage customer accounts post-deployment, ensuring high satisfaction and strong operational results
- Track performance metrics and propose optimizations for existing client sites
- Renew, upsell, and expand client contracts across multiple buildings or locations
Reporting & documentation
- Maintain accurate CRM records for leads, pipeline, demos, and closed deals
- Provide weekly and monthly business development activity reports to leadership
- Contribute insights to support strategy, marketing, and product roadmap decisions
Required Qualifications
- 3–7 years of business development, sales, or account management experience in drones/UAVs, robotics/automation, industrial technology, or energy/logistics technology
- Strong understanding of commercial drone applications, ideally including indoor environments
- Proven track record of B2B sales and closing mid-to-large enterprise contracts
- Excellent technical communication skills and ability to work closely with engineering teams
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation abilities
- SAP or other inventory management system experience
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel within Louisiana and across the region as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling to warehouses, fulfillment centers, manufacturers, energy operations, or industrial facilities
- Experience with indoor inspection technology, facility automation, or indoor robotics
- Comfort with CRM systems
- UAV certifications or technical training (asset, not mandatory)
