Job Details

The LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The person in this role will provide coverage for all areas of the teaching hospital as needed with emphasis on areas that provide patient care during non-traditional business hours including Large Animal ICU, Small Animal ICU, Small Animal ER, and Anesthesia. It is essential that this person has expertise in the safe handling of both large and small species of animals and is able to provide instruction to veterinary students. This person will primarily be scheduled for shifts that fall between 4 pm - 9 am Monday through Friday as well as weekends; however, daytime shifts may be necessary dependent on hospital personnel needs and/or for training purposes.
