We are seeking an experienced Process Simulation Engineer to provide technical leadership across dynamic and steady-state process simulation for complex offshore and onshore energy projects.

This role supports both traditional energy developments and energy transition initiatives, delivering high-quality simulation studies that inform design, safety, and operational decision-making.

What you'll do:

  • Act as technical authority for dynamic and steady-state process simulation
  • Develop integrated simulation models linking topsides, pipelines, and flow assurance systems
  • Deliver simulation studies to support process design, control philosophy, and operational optimisation
  • Assess plant behaviour during start-up, shutdown, turndown, and abnormal or safety-critical scenarios
  • Define and deliver technically robust simulation scopes aligned with quality, cost, and programme requirements
  • Provide simulation evidence to underpin control strategies, trip settings, and operating philosophies
  • Support HAZOP close-out, flare and relief design, and verification of safety-critical cases
  • Evaluate downstream impacts on compressors, flare systems, and other critical equipment
  • Contribute to the development of internal simulation tools, workflows, and best practices
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, strengthening technical capability within the team

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in dynamic process simulation within oil & gas, energy transition, or complex process industries
  • Strong expertise in HYSYS Dynamics, OLGA, and integrated simulation environments
  • Proven ability to deliver technical studies supporting FEED and detailed design phases
  • Experience developing or assessing control philosophies and operability strategies
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex technical findings xywuqvp
  • Consultancy mindset, with experience working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to mentor and develop engineers within a technical discipline
