Job Details

Lead the transmission design of projects from concept through final design, ensuring project requirements defined by project managers are met, including EMF studies, conductor sizing, induction, impedance, losses, and voltage drop analyses. Develop transmission equipment deliverables, including packaged equipment specifications, data sheets, RFQs, technical bid evaluations, and purchase recommendations. Perform and lead routing studies, construction cost estimating, and conceptual line designs. Support and contribute to a company-wide safety culture by following established safety standards, policies, and best practices, helping to ensure a safe environment for employees, clients, and the public. Calculate and determine required electrical clearances in accordance with NESC and other applicable codes; interpret and apply relevant NERC, FERC, and regional standards and clearly communicate requirements to project teams.
